GameBreakers was established June 16, 2004 from the minds of two brothers, Derek and Dexter Olivier. Dexter was an Information Technology professional working with companies like Best Buy and Hewlett Packard, while his brother worked in investor relations with an international REIT company. Although successful in their own right, they both dreamed of owning their own company. The brothers were both avid gamers and one day they questioned whether there was a way to make their love for video game into a business, and thus GameBreakers was born.
